Job Summary:
The Senior Construction Project Manager will oversee the smooth execution of contracts after the design phase. This role requires strong experience in HVAC/mechanical systems and commercial construction, as well as excellent communication skills.
The project team consists of administrative staff, engineers, design team members, and other necessary personnel. The Senior Construction Project Manager will work on-site during heavy construction periods and remotely or at the office during other project phases.
This role involves managing pre-construction activities, such as reviewing project drawings for scope, constructability, and cost savings. Additionally, the Senior Construction Project Manager will develop construction schedules, manage subcontractors, administer safety programs, and work with vendors to obtain equipment submittals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing construction schedules and managing subcontractors to meet required milestones
- Administering safety programs and developing project safety binders
- Managing subcontractor contracts and working with vendors to obtain equipment submittals
- Ordering equipment and managing lead times
- Leading construction review meetings and documenting progress for owners
- Assisting with commissioning efforts and addressing M&V items during construction
- Reviewing subcontractor pay applications and tracking project financials
- Scheduling factory start-ups and ensuring start-up sheets are filled out and submitted for warranties
- Coordinating owner training and developing O&M manuals and as-builts
