Job Title: Sales Manager Wholesale
C.N. Brown Company is a Maine based family owned company that owns and operates 73 convenience stores, 26 heating oil offices and 11 service stations, delivering petroleum products into Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Northern Massachusetts
Responsible for leading the wholesale department, commercial Oil & LP accounts and real estate. If you are competitive, motivated, and capable of teaching your strategies to a team, we are excited to talk with you.
Responsibilities:
- Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the sales team and manage the sales program accordingly
- Monitor the program on accounts across all sales channels and pinpoint ways to penetrate new markets
- Provide on-the-ground support, recruiting, training, and managing for sales representatives as they generate leads, current deals, close new deals, and problem solve
- Meet with customers or major accounts to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our company’s relationship with them
- Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies, process and tactics, and programs to capture key demographics
- Update any contracts and lease agreements
- Prospect new leads and close sales via cold calling
Skills:
- Petroleum Market knowledge
- 5 years of wholesale or distribution experience
- 5 years in leadership sales position
- 5 years of cold calling sales experience
- Strong computer skills required (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Able to work as a team as well as individually
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Excellent communications skills, both oral and written
- Strong decision-making abilities
- Able to travel when necessary
- Contract & Lease knowledge

- Distribution- 5 years (Preferred)
