CNA National is seeking a hands-on, results driven leader to lead our technical product delivery team. This is a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our technical product development efforts and ensuring that our internal and external facing products meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders. The team is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering features and improvements that drive value for our users and the business.
Responsibilities
- Develops a clear product vision and strategy in collaboration with stakeholders, keeping in mind customer needs, market trends, and business goals. Makes critical decisions about the product, including feature scope, release timing, and trade-offs between competing priorities.
- Creates and maintains a product roadmap that outlines the short-term and long-term goals, priorities, and timelines for product development. Continuously assesses and prioritizes the product backlog to maximize value delivery, considering feedback from users and stakeholders.
- Collaborates with the PM and development teams to plan and coordinate product releases, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. Works with the team to plan and schedule releases, determining what features will be included in each release.
- Acts as a bridge between development teams, designers, and other stakeholders, ensuring everyone has a shared understanding of product goals and priorities. Gathers input, feedback, and requirements from stakeholders and effectively communicates these to the team.
- Gathers and analyzes user feedback and data to make data-driven decisions about product improvements, new features, or changes to existing features. Provides continuous feedback to the development team during development and testing, clarifying requirements and ensuring the product aligns with the vision.
- Ensures that the final product meets quality standards and fulfills user expectations by working closely with the quality assurance team. Validates that the developed features meet the acceptance criteria and align with the product vision before they are considered done.
- Collaborates with users to conduct UAT, ensuring that the product meets their requirements and is user-friendly.
- Identifies potential risks and issues related to product development and work to mitigate them proactively.
- Continuously assesses and improves product management processes, seeking ways to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stays up to date with industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation, including collaboration with the strategic initiatives group.
