About the Job
CNA is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Financial Control team. The Financial Control team collaborates with business leaders across the organization to establish and manage internal controls over financial reporting while educating the company on financial risk.
This role will have broad exposure to the organization and develop a deep understanding of their supported business areas to ensure key business activities, initiatives, and processes are effectively controlled.
JOB DESCRIPTION : Your Day to Day
- Provides consultation for a variety of business partners as they execute control responsibilities including design and testing.
- Objectively evaluates control gaps and deficiencies including root cause analysis and identifying corrective actions.
- Serves as a key liaison and provides oversight for CNA's external auditors
- Establishes and modifies corporate procedures, as necessary, to promote continuous improvement in our risk management environment.
- Stays up to date on trends and developments within functional area of expertise and the insurance industry.
- Drive process improvement and automation
- Lead special projects as needed with minimum direction
- May perform additional duties as assigned

In District of Columbia, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this job level is $54,000 to $103,000 annually. Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
