Summary

As a Buyer, you will collaborate with suppliers for assigned items, supplies, and/or materials for assigned group/platform.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate external price trends and new product offerings to reduce overall purchasing costs.
• Collaborates with suppliers to assure the quality of their products, materials, components and/or operations and develops supply recommendations.
• Ensures suppliers can meet forecasted demand.
• May coordinate efforts in the reduction of purchasing/engineering costs and establishing cost for new products.
• May participate in design and/or technical reviews.
• May select, recommend, and manage relationships with major suppliers, vendors, or sub-contractors to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
• Utilize MRP messages to manage orders and achieve target inventory levels.
• Maintain specific knowledge on commodities.
• Conduct negotiations with vendors on rejections, dispositions, or adjustments of purchased materials.

Annual Base Salary range for this role:  $60,000 to $80,500 USD (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. 
• Must have a strong understanding of Microsoft Excel, and experienced with interpreting and modeling data through pivot tables or fomulas.
