Position Summary
For CNS Cares, LLC (“CNS”), this position is responsible for support of the corporate compliance program of CNS and for the monitoring, implementation, and evaluation of specified processes and activities to meet regulatory compliance and standards of practice. This role will act as the subject matter expert for the administrative and corporate compliance activities across the organization and is responsible for the coordination and implementation of the duties as outlined below.
Essential Functions
Employee must have regular attendance/punctuality, be able to work with others at all levels of the Company and have exceptional customer service. Other assigned duties include but are not limited to:
- In coordination with the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and the compliance team, help support the overall compliance program and identify successful compliance strategies.
- Assist with navigating federal health care laws and regulations and implementing best practices across the corporate compliance program.
- Assist with the provision of updates of applicable laws and regulations to administrative departments and provide guidance on implementation, when needed.
- Provide compliance guidance across departments (outside of operations) when needed.
- Main oversight of compliance management system activities, including but not limited to hotline management and triage of hotline reports and investigations.
- First point of contact for compliance investigations, initiating investigations for compliance, documenting findings, and administering corrective action/remediation, while ensuring timeliness of response.
- Investigate Privacy-related concerns and log potential breaches; assess potential breaches for reporting to OCR.
- Assist CCO with Privacy compliance across all departments.
- Assist with implementation of annual risk assessments across all departments.
- Auditing and monitoring activities, including but not limited to:
- o Assist with creation and implementation of annual audit plans, including the scheduling and coordination of audits;
- o Coordinate on monitoring activities across all company departments; and
- o Ensure best practices are incorporated into auditing and monitoring activities on an ongoing basis.
- Participate in and help lead the Policy Committee and oversee policy revisions, tracking and rollout across the organization; work with company departments and compliance team to identify needed policy revisions and updates.
- Coordinate with the CCO and other compliance team members, as needed, to review all applicable organizational data, metrics and reporting on an ongoing basis to assess compliance program for effectiveness and efficiencies and to make recommendations for performance improvement to applicable departments.
- Assists with departmental document reviews.
- Assist CCO with management of external contracts and vendor agreements, housing them in the compliance management system and monitoring contract terms for compliance.
- Coordinate with Human Resources on compliance exit interviews for exiting team members, review responses and refer issues through investigation processes, where needed.
- Assist with the development and implementation of company-wide plans as needed (e.g., Emergency Preparedness, Document Retention and Destruction, etc.).
- Assist with compliance Q&A and education (outside of Relias) when requested.
- Work with CCO and the compliance team on coordination of the solicitation of feedback through varying avenues on the company's compliance culture and the overall compliance program.
- Participate in the Compliance Committee and report on applicable data and metrics.
- Assist with the identification and implementation of compliance team goals and objectives.
- Attend meetings to represent compliance as needed and present on compliance program activities when requested.
- Participate in other health, civic, education and professional groups as directed.
- Travel to offices as needed.
- Other compliance-related duties as assigned.

Education/Training
- BA or BS in appropriate related discipline (Healthcare, Project Management, Business Administration, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience in healthcare compliance and/or quality control practices
- Knowledge of safety requirements and legal standards
