Job Title: Embryology/ Purchasing Assistant
Reports to: Senior Embryologist
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary: CNY Fertility is a renowned fertility center offering advanced treatments like IVF, IUI, and egg freezing. With a patient-centered approach and cutting-edge technology, we support individuals and couples on their journey to parenthood. The incumbent will hold dual responsibilities as both the Embryology Assistant, and the Purchasing Assistant.
Required Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to complete daily scheduling tasks for the embryology lab. Create thaw list and pulling canes for the next day, completing cryo reports and uploading to patients charts and printing back up schedules.
Process embryo/oocyte disposal and donation to training consents.
Schedule procedures, complete tasks, and navigate patient charts.
Understand process of cryopreservation and storage of specimens and how to safely handle samples.
Ability to complete check orders and unpack supplies.
Manage Microsoft Excel spreadsheets for multiple offices to help maintain inventory and create end of the year reports.
Maintain communication with all members of the laboratory.
Ability to place orders and create PO for purchasing specialist when they are out of office, or as needed.
Uphold all sanitization standards while working in lab environment.

Education/Experience:
An associate's degree in related field required. Lab experience preferred.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of our organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
