Summary
We are seeking a Purchasing/Pricing Assistant with experience in the building materials trade to join our team! The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proficient in Excel, and have a strong understanding of retail and contractor competitive pricing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and maintaining competitive pricing strategies for retail and contractor sales.
- Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to ensure optimal pricing.
- Maintain and update pricing databases in Excel and other internal systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting with inquiries related to pricing and product availability.
- Support the sales team with pricing reports, cost analysis, and margin optimization.
- Ensure accurate data entry and timely updates to pricing structures.
Qualifications:
- Experience in purchasing and pricing within the building materials industry is preferred.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed pricing recommendations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
