What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weld Trainee position at Co-Staff Corp?
As a Weld Trainee, you will be a crucial part of our operations, contributing to the production and assembly process.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Operating machinery and equipment according to safety guidelines.
- Assembling components to create finished products.
- Welding and fabricating metal parts as required.
- Handling and moving materials within the production area.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Use hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
- Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
- Prepare all material surfaces to be welded, ensuring that there is no loose or thick scale, slag, rust, moisture, grease, or other foreign matter.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in any of the following roles: Machine Operator, Assembler, Welder, or Material Handler.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks.
- Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to safety protocols.
