- Contribute to and maintain project setups as needed on a daily basis.
- Attend project setup meetings to help determine how new contracts should be set up within Costpoint.
- Review contracts and modifications for financial accuracy.
- Prepare and input transfers to correct erroneous charging.
- Input and track employee travel advances and expense reports.
- Prepare and distribute weekly Earned Value Management reports to Project Managers, measuring the project's performance against planned value, schedule, and cost, and providing insights into any deviations and necessary corrective actions.
- Review and approve employee timesheet submittals as needed.
- Work with the Financial Analysis Manager to generate the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and quarterly forecasting (FI, FII).
- Review and manage revenue recognition for their group and take steps to correct any revenue that is either over or understated at the month-end close process.
- Track actual results against the AOP and forecast, investigating any significant variances and explaining them to management.
- Contribute to the monthly reporting package and brief their group General Management after the accounting department has finished its financial close.
- Validate contract de-obligation for the contracts department.
- Track revenue, negative fees, indirect labor, unpaid invoices, and unallowable costs on a weekly basis.
- Review, approve, and assist in the preparation of customer invoices.
- Maintain and update contract workforces, including WD contracts.
- Assist estimating and contracts in the preparation and review of customer quotes.
- Customize Business Intelligence reports upon request.
- Assist in implementing proper internal controls to support the organization's growth.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or similar field.
- Up to four (0-4) years of financial analysis experience.
- Must be proficient in CostPoint or other large ERP systems.
- Understanding of EVM principles, cost forecasting, and budgeting in high-stakes, fast-moving environments.
- Agility, quick decision-making, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of financial concepts to support financial planning and analysis activities.
- Ability to work in a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to speak, write, understand, and communicate in English.
