What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Sales Consultant (Cape Chevrolet) position at COAD CHEVROLET CAPE GIRARDEAU?
Coad Chevrolet in Cape Girardeau is currently looking for experienced Automotive Sales Consultants, but we are willing to train the right candidate. As a Sales Consultant, it’s necessary to provide a first-class customer experience, in addition to excellent customer follow-up. The candidate we are seeking is passionate, energetic, and motivated. This position will be a 5-day work week that will include every Saturday, with one day off during the week. The dealership is closed on Sundays. The position will be comprised of a base salary (DOE) plus commission.
Hiring is based on background check, drug screen, and driving record results.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Set an example of professionalism through actions and interactions
- Ensure target revenues are met or exceeded
- Responsible for developing productive working relationships throughout the dealership
- Be the biggest promoter of the customer service index (CSI)
- Maintain a positive and ethical working relationship with all employees, manufacturers, lenders, vendors, and customers
- Assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses
- Report directly to the Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses
- Learn to overcome objections and thrive within sales situations
- Follow-up with buyers to ensure successful referral business
- Continuously develop product and sales acumen to become the vehicle authority. Know the ins and the outs of product offerings, optional packages, and the latest technologies
Qualifications:

· Outstanding communications skills
· Professional appearance and work ethics
· Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
· Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
· Excellent at meeting deadlines
· Computer skills are a must
· Ability to build a good report with customers
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
