Job Description:
As an Associate Attorney at Coal Creek Law, you will play a critical role in providing legal counsel and support to our clients and internal teams. You will handle a variety of legal matters, including real estate transactions, contract negotiations, compliance issues, and more. This position requires a strong understanding of various areas of law, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to manage personal caseload and interact directly with clients and staff.
- First and second chair trials as necessary.
- Draft legal documents and pleadings without assistance.
- Manage client intake calls and onboard new clients.
- Maintain a client base and engage in reasonable community outreach programs as assigned by firm.
- Keep current on applicable laws, cases, and regulations.
- Maintain applicable professional licensure including required CLE.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Wyoming bar and in good standing.
- Strong knowledge of applicable areas of law.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in case management and ability to engage in practice of law without direct supervision.
- Prior experience working in a law firm for a minimum of 1-2 years.
- Colorado and/or Nebraska licensure
