Summary/Objective
The Director of Operations (DOO) at Coalinga Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is responsible
for coordinating daily hospital and skilled nursing facility (SNF) operations to ensure services
are provided in compliance with CDPH, CMS, Title 22, OSHPD, Health Department, and all
regulatory agencies governing general acute care hospitals and skilled nursing facilities. This
role supports the CRMC administration and leadership team in areas such as orientation and
training, committee coordination, EHR support, policy and procedure development, and regular
performance assessments using EHR data. Additionally, the position involves communication
and coordination with internal departments such as HR, corporate billing/AP/AR, payroll,
vendors, and other related agencies. The DOO will also handle additional duties as assigned by
the governing board, CEO, or designee, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
The Director of Operations will maintain, update, and develop policies and procedures to guide
high-quality hospital services and operations. This role represents CRMC in internal
administration and externally for marketing, service recovery (responding to complaints),
community relations, and regulatory communications and visits. The DOO is committed to
ensuring that the highest degree of quality care is always maintained.
DOO is also responsible for the DOCM job duties.
Essential Functions
• Act as a resource in developing, maintaining, and implementing written policies and
procedures in consultation with health professionals and administration for the acute
care hospital (including clinics).
• Ensure on-site presence sufficient to manage and administer the facility effectively.
• Monitor the quality and appropriateness of care provided in accordance with regulations
and standards.
• Maintain current copies of relevant regulations on-site and make them available to
professional staff upon request.
• Notify staff about updates to regulations, including additions, deletions, and changes.
• Notify the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) of unusual occurrences as
specified in Title 22 §75241. For occurrences outside regular business hours, a report
must be made to CDPH during business hours.
• Provide leadership and guidance on performance guidelines and operational standards.
• Manage facility contract maintenance and ensure annual reviews per regulated
guidelines.
• Assist in the organization and participation in Quality Assurance, Safety, Leadership,
Interdisciplinary Committee, Infection Control, Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Utilization
Review, and other required departmental meetings.

• Provides supervision for Nutritional Services, Laboratory, Radiology, IT, and
Environmental Services departments in the absence of their managers.

Required Education and Experience
• RN preferred, LVN accepted with relevant experience.
• Previous experience in healthcare management or provider relations preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in case management software and electronic health records (EHR).
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
• Healthcare Accreditation Certified Professional (required).
• Rural Health Nurse Certification (required).
Preferred Education and Experience
• Preferred bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, or a
related field.
Additional Eligibility Requirements
• Must be able to satisfy the requirements of the Immigration Reform and Control Act of
1986, including documentation of identity and work authorization in the U.S.
