Maintenance Assistant II

This is a part time position- no benefits are associated with this position
Hours: Daytime hours- as needed
Pay Rate: $17.66 per hour
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Perform grounds keeping, painting and other support tasks for the maintenance department and assist in the upkeep of all COARC's buildings, sites, grounds, and equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure Coarc's buildings, grounds and equipment are safe and in proper working order, notifying a supervisor of any items needing repair or attention.
- Work safely at all times. Perform all duties in a manner that is productive, positive, cooperative, flexible and promotes the goals of the department and agency.
- Perform routine maintenance duties as directed including:
- Cleaning, patching and painting of finish surfaces
- Groundskeeping duty's include maintaining flower beds, seasonal plantings, weeding, cutting grass, raking, fall cleanup and other grounds keeping duties as needed
- General maintenance tasks such as changing air filters, cleaning gutters, changing batteries and moving equipment
- Moving vehicles from site to site and picking up parts
- Taking water samples
- Conducting inventory
- Assist as necessary in projects as directed.
- Maintain records as directed to document time worked, activities, materials, parts, tools or equipment.
- Participate in in-house and outside trainings as required or deemed necessary by the department supervisor.
- Other duties as requested or assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
- Exceptional written, communication, and computer skills
- Ability to use power tools and groundskeeping equipment
- Ability to be certified in all required trainings- trainings take place during daytime hours.
- Required to lift at least 10 pounds up to 25 pounds, have the ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 80 pounds
- No Driver's License required.
