What are the responsibilities and job description for the Abatement Worker (Asbestos, Lead, and Mold) position at Coast Abatement Services?
COAST ABATEMENT SERVICES is seeking a hardworking and stellar Abatement Technician/Worker with valid state certifications in the Greater Los Angeles and Orange County areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibility
- Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting, pulling and pushing heavy objects
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds throughout shift
- Performs activities including, but not limited to removal of hazardous materials (asbestos, lead, mold, etc) following all applicable regulations and guidelines.
- Handles various hand tools and equipment related to abatement/remediation
- Must be willing to travel to different job sites throughout the Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties.
- The ability to wear and properly use a variety of personal protective Equipment (PPE). This includes respirators, skin, face, hand and foot protection in a multiple number of combinations.
- Work in potentially elevated noise levels, confined spaces, including lifting in areas of low clearance.
- Work may be extended time periods (beyond 8 hours)
Education/Training Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalence
- Bilingual (Spanish) desired
- Valid AHERA Asbestos Worker and CDPH Lead Worker certificates
- At least 1 year of related work experience
- Valid and clean CA Driver’s License
