AUTOMOTIVE SALES - Commerical / Fleet Business Development Director for Coast Buick GMC Cadillac

Position Overview : The Fleet Director will be responsible for overseeing the management, sales, of Coast Automotive Fleet.

This role includes managing inventory, handling customer relationships, ensuring operational efficiency, and meeting sales targets for fleet vehicles.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership, sales, and organizational skills to effectively drive the growth of the dealership's commercial sales department.  This position reports directly to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Fleet Sales & Management : Oversee the daily operations of the fleet department, including managing fleet inventory, and ensuring that the fleet is adequately stocked to meet customer demands.
  • Customer Relations : Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, businesses, and government agencies purchasing fleet vehicles.

Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Sales Strategy : Develop and implement strategies to meet sales targets and increase fleet sales.
  • Monitor industry trends and adjust strategies accordingly to remain competitive.

  • Operational Efficiency : Supervise the team responsible for fleet operations, ensuring smooth processes related to vehicle acquisitions, delivery, and service.
  • Maintain high standards for vehicle quality and ensure the timely completion of all transactions.

  • Team Development : Lead, train, and mentor the fleet department team, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to succeed.
  • Promote a positive, customer-focused culture.

  • Compliance & Reporting : Ensure all fleet operations comply with industry regulations and dealership policies.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to fleet inventory, sales, and financial performance.

    Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in fleet management, automotive sales, or a similar leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of the automotive industry, especially fleet vehicle sales and management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Vin Solutions, Reynolds is a plus.
