Accounting Assistant

Who Are We Looking For? Our ideal accounting assistant will be adept at multitasking, prioritizing tasks, communication and managing time effectively. This a critical role in our office environment and its functioning: collecting money from customers and managing our own financial operations. You will bring a positive spark to our team by being a proactive team member responsible for your primary duties but also willing to jump into new projects and initiatives as they develop.

Required Skillset

• Strong background in accounting and can navigate QuickBooks like a pro.
• Support both A/P and A/R functions (solid understanding of accounting principles, data entry, invoicing, reconciliation, monthly reporting, etc.).
• Employee engagement (onboarding, benefit enrollment, outward communication, updates to company handbook).
• Office admin: ordering general office supplies, file organization, inbound and outbound phone calls.
• Multitask Master: From overseeing administrative processes to implementing innovative office systems, your role will be varied and impactful. When you are working at optimal capacity, the team will notice there are fewer problems. 
• Problem Solver: You’ll have the autonomy to identify problems and craft solutions, ensuring our operations run as smoothly as possible.
• Team Supporter: Help manage HR responsibilities, Insurance compliance, and admin duties. You will become a resource the whole team can rely on.
• QuickBooks Online & Billing Assistant: We are in need of a strong partner in assisting our bookkeeper in AR, AP, customer relations, and anything else required. This is a shifting role to our needs and we are looking for an adaptable, confident, and autonomous person who is highly motivated to solve problems.
• Hands-on experience in professional office setting.
• Proficient with software programs.
• Eagerness to learn, implement and streamline processes.
