We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a temporary basis in West Linn, Oregon. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring a commitment of five days a week. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic accounting procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform clerical tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Maintain and update financial records accurately.
- Prepare and assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and balance sheets.
- File and organize accounting documents and supporting paperwork.
- Ensure all transactions are properly documented and processed in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve discrepancies or accounting-related inquiries.
- Assist in preparing for audits.
- Provide general clerical support to the accounting team as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an accounting or clerical role is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and office practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.); familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
