What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asphalt Paving Equipment Operator position at Coast Services, LLC?
Job Summary :
The asphalt paving equipment operator is responsible for safely operating the paving equipment (Screed, Rollers, compactors, excavators, skid steers, etc.) used for applying asphalt to roadbeds, parking lots, driveways, and other surfaces
Supervisory Responsibilities :
None
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently to properly compact earth, subgrade, and sub-base asphalt surfaces and finish asphalt material from paver.
- Operate machine in successive overlapping passes over surfaces to be compacted, rolling asphalt and subgrade to desired compaction and smoothness of job requirements.
- Must partner with other crew members to apply asphalt per plan specifications and perform tasks as instructed by crew foreman to ensure daily schedules / estimates are met.
- May operate a variety of hand and power tools as well as other equipment needed to complete jobs within specifications.
- Additional tasks of other positions and duties as assigned.
