As a Tobacco Lead:, you'll oversee the flow of merchandise from delivery to the sales floor or internal destination. This role focuses on unpacking, organizing, and securing tobacco products while maintaining a clean and efficient warehouse environment. If you have strong organizational skills and enjoy a fast-paced environment, this is the role for you.
- Plan, organize, and monitor all shipping and receiving functions.
- Manage the movement and storage of all products, including tobacco, ensuring security and accurate documentation.
- Inspect shipments for damages and discrepancies, reporting issues to supervisors.
- Use handheld scanners to track and update inventory in real-time.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-ready warehouse environment.
- Rotate and replenish stock, ensuring product quality and availability.
- Collaborate with sales and other departments to meet operational goals.
- Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Operate forklifts for loading and unloading shipments.
- Minimum of 1-year experience in shipping and receiving.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems and handheld scanning devices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, and vendors.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Forklift operation experience preferred.
- Prolonged walking and standing for up to 8 hours, including on concrete or tile surfaces.
- Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
