We are searching for an engaging, passionate, Project Director,- TRIO Talent Search Alice to help lead our College during this ever-changing Community College environment.

Starting Pay Range: 48,376.00 - 50,800.00

Essential Functions:
The Project Director plans, implements, and supervises Educational Talent Search activities, and supervises Talent Search Counselors, staff and part-time personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruit participants by informing the community and schools about the program using public service announcements, flyers, and presentations.
- Assist in development and implementation of program objectives.
- Develop the operational calendar and plan program curriculum for the year.
- Supervise the work of Talent Search Staff.
- Train and evaluate Talent Search staff on an on-going basis.
- Actively participate in the selection of program participants.
- Supervises secretary to ensure that all student applications are correctly completed.
- Preparation of program reports and evaluations.
- Establish and maintain contact with key personnel at baccalaureate institutions.
- Provide all counseling services to a minimum of 300 Talent Search students
- Provide career, academic, personal, and financial aid counseling, and mentoring opportunities.
- Provide assistance to youth in gaining admission to secondary and postsecondary institutions.
- Provide extra-curricular activities such as cultural and educational events and supervise students on these field trips.
- Arrange and supervise students in mentoring and career shadowing activities and recruit new businesses to participate in these activities.
- Determine the success of participants in gaining admission to secondary or postsecondary institutions (follow-up).
- Effectively manage grant budget and reconcile expenditures using CFR 200 Federal Regulations and Coastal Bend College policies and procedures.
- Utilize various computer programs such as Blumens, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Operate multi-media equipment.
- Attend professional development and training activities related to the assigned TRIO project.
- Other duties as assigned.
Other Duties:
Participate in state, regional, and other training opportunities.
Travel Requirements:
Must have own transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance to travel to other locations including target area schools, and to attend meetings/trainings.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s required. Four (4) or more years of demonstrated successful experience in managing staff and programs designed to empower under-represented students in high school and higher education at an accredited college or university.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education Degree Equals Master's Details Equals Experience in an academic field (liberal arts or STEM field, education, counseling, social work, higher education administration or an appropriate field related to project objectives) from an accredited college or university in the United States
