The part-time College Navigator serves as a point of contact providing college information and related support services to not only potential students but also new students, as part of the College's New Student Experience initiative, and shares key information about how to successfully navigate the onboarding process. Welcome not only potential students but also new students as part of the College's New Student Experience initiative and share key information about how to successfully navigate the onboarding process. Facilitate orientation sessions and serve as a point of contact for individuals who possess questions about available programs, resources, or offerings. Facilitate the admissions process and promote ongoing student engagements through the use of various communication tools, including, but not limited to, email, phone, or virtual platforms. Collaborate with other College stakeholders in order to efficiently and effectively connect students to student support services and resources. Foster a positive and student-centered experience. Handle confidential information with tact, discretion, and in compliance with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations. Relate well to students, co-workers, and general public. Perform other duties as assigned.Salary: $18.00 per hour/20-25 hours per week between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday.Start Date: March 3, 2025.Closing Date: January 26, 2025, or open until filled.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Bachelor's degree required. Excellent oral/written communication skills and Microsoft Office skills, required. A Bachelor's degree in education or counseling is preferred. Daytime position with local travel required and some schedule evening work.
