Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate finance and regulatory reporting, with the ability to interpret financial reports and ensure compliance with applicable laws. Duties
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment approvals.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure all accounts are accurately reflected.
- Assist in payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate employee compensation.
- Interpret financial reports to provide insights into business performance and support decision-making.
- Maintain records related to private equity transactions and securities law compliance.
- Utilize Quicken for financial management tasks, ensuring efficient tracking of expenses and revenues.
- Support the preparation of reports related to Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) projects as needed.
Skills
- Proficiency in corporate finance principles and practices.
- Strong understanding of regulatory reporting requirements.
- Experience with Quicken or similar accounting software.
- Knowledge of LIHTC regulations is a plus.
- Familiarity with accounts payable processes and payroll systems.
- Ability to interpret complex financial reports effectively.
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliation processes.
- Understanding of securities law as it pertains to financial reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
