We are seeking a highly qualified Safety and Quality Control Manager to oversee and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards on all projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in safety management, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance, with strong organizational and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety and quality control programs for project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with the EM 385-1-1 Safety and Health Requirements Manual.
- Create and oversee site-specific Accident Prevention Plans (APPs) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).
- Conduct inspections and audits to ensure adherence to EM 385-1-1, safety and quality standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Lead and coordinate safety meetings, training sessions, and quality control reviews.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and USACE standards.
- Manage safety records, incident reports, and quality assurance reports.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure all work is performed safely and meets quality expectations.
- Travel to various job sites as required to conduct on-site safety and quality reviews.
- Stay updated with industry standards, practices, and regulations through yearly continuing education.
Required Qualifications
- EM 385 40-Hour Training.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Training Certification.
- Completion of the USACE Quality Control Management (QCM) for Contractors Course.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in safety management and quality control.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state safety and construction regulations, including those specific to Virginia and Maryland.
- Commitment to yearly continuing education to maintain and enhance expertise.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with government and military contracts, including USACE projects.
- Certification in additional safety or quality assurance programs.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
