Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Plan Designer to join our Engineered Wood Products (EWP). By providing technical expertise and innovative design solutions, the CAD Designer directly contributes to project efficiency, customer satisfaction, and Coastal Forest Products’ reputation for delivering high-quality specialty wood products.

Your Role as a CAD Plan Designer
In this role, your key responsibilities include:
- Responding to plan design and framing layout inquiries from retail lumber yards.
- Creating structural framing layouts and perform detailed plan takeoffs for commercial and residential projects.
- Collaborating with contractors, retail customers, and internal teams to provide technical design knowledge and product recommendations.
- Managing multiple design projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of plan designs and framing layouts.
- Calculating and specifying engineered wood products for assigned projects.
- Building positive relationships with our customers, representing Coastal Forest Products with professionalism and expertise.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Strong proficiency in CAD software and blueprint reading.
- Solid understanding of building construction and structural design considerations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing priorities.
- Critical thinking and effective time management skills to meet project deadlines.
- Team player with a proactive approach and flexibility to embrace new tasks and responsibilities as needed.
Education and Additional Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent job/field experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Authorized to work in the United States.

On Site Location Requirement: The CAD Designer works in office, Monday through Friday, at our location in Bow, New Hampshire.
