CAD Draftsman/Designer

3D/2D DESIGN:

• Expert understanding of creating and manipulating 3D objects
• Creation of 2D technical drawings from 3D models
• Preparation of solid bodies for manufacturing (CNC, etc.)
• Understand and decipher precast design from contract documents (Architectural drawings, structural drawings)
• Creation of Precast 2D Shop Drawings: Plan/Elevation views, building/site sections, precast sections, connections & details
• Support Carpentry department with design support pertaining to mold fabrication
• Autodesk Platform – Autocad, Inventor, Fusion360

• Exceptional attention to detail with strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Associates Degree or higher in a Manufacturing, Engineering, CAD, Survey program or equivalent
• Proven work history, strong work ethic, team-player attitude
• Ability to convey technical information as well as effectively present, communicate, and respond to a general audience

ADDITIONAL DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

• 3D Sculpting software tools: Blender, Meshlab
• Proficient with 3D parametric and mesh centric software
• Manufacturing / Production Experience in molding/casting related field

3D SCANNING:

• Measurement Analysis of 3D scan data, existing conditions, as-builts
• Post processing (registration/alignment) of 3D scan data and mesh conversion
• Restoration/Healing of mesh surfaces and conversion to solid bodies
• Scanning software tools: Artec Studio, Geomagic Design X

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
