Banquet Event Bartender

Coastal Gourmet is growing our team for the 2025 season! We are looking to add to our team of Bartenders to staff upcoming engagements. We focus on weddings, corporate meetings and other large-scale events and we provide a full menu. You will work as a member of the wait & barstaff for food catering events, weddings and banquets.

Our Banquet bartenders engage our customers and create a positive experience for guests. Maintaining a friendly attitude, banquet bartenders attend all their customers in an efficient and prompt manner is important.

Follow Safe Alcohol Service Standards:
- Our Banquet bartenders keep an eye out for potentially unsafe situations and ensure that no alcohol is consumed by minors. They check IDs and respond appropriately when guests violate state laws or regulations.

Banquet Bartender Skills and Qualifications:
-Primarily concerned with customer satisfaction, our banquet bartenders are upbeat and friendly. They enjoy engaging with customers and creating a pleasant bar environment. We prefer those with one to two years of experience in the food industry and usually look for the following skills and qualifications:

Physical dexterity – shaking drinks, mixing beverages, and stocking wines and beers requires physical dexterity. You typically spend the majority of their shift standing and engaging in frequent repetitive motions, which requires stamina

Customer service skills –our bartenders serve customers with a smile. They ensure that their customers are satisfied and attend to any customer complaints or comments

Food preparation experience – our bartenders have knowledge of food preparation and restaurant operations. They also follow local laws concerning food handling and alcohol serving

Basic math skills – crafting drinks and handling money transactions demands banquet bartenders have a basic understanding of math.

Knowledge of alcoholic beverages – from spirits and beer to liquor and wine, banquet bartenders have thorough knowledge of alcoholic beverages and use this knowledge to follow recipes and craft specialty drinks

Pay: $16.35 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
