Building Maintenance Technician

Location: Coastal Health

Position Type: Full-Time

Coastal Health is currently seeking a motivated Building Maintenance Technician to join our growing multi-specialty team. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of systems and structures across our buildings and complexes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect facilities regularly to identify maintenance needs and potential issues
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and Fixit Tickets
• Oversee and complete repairs, ensuring timely and high-quality work
• Maintain inventory and equipment, ensuring items are stored properly and safely
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and protocols on site
• Conduct follow-up inspections after maintenance and repair tasks
• Perform scheduled safety inspections to ensure compliance
• Develop strategies to meet maintenance workload demands efficiently
  
  

Qualifications:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
  
  

Experience:

• 3–5 years of experience in building maintenance preferred
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical systems, and general cleaning procedures
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 1-3 years experience in building maintenance preferred, with knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and mechanical systems, and cleaning procedures.

Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
