Description
Coastal Hospice invites you to join a team of caregivers who are committed to promoting dignity and quality of life for patients and families who face life-limiting conditions.
In your role as Human Resources Generalist, you will:
Provide exceptional customer services to all stakeholders, including employees, managers, applicants, and vendors
Assist Director of Human Resources with completion of departmental projects and assignments
Actively maintain and improve our usage of HRIS and other systems
Maintain logistics of employee files to ensure accuracy and compliance
Manage the recruitment module within HRIS and communicates with candidates in a timely manner
Collaborate with supervisors to ensure the effectiveness of the interview process and follow-up with candidates
Act as a resource to hiring managers in conducting and coordinating interviews
Ensure all pre-employment screening is accomplished according to policy
Maintain and ensures new hire checklists are completed in a timely manner
Inform all stakeholders of progress with the on boarding process, including Education Department for orientation
Conduct HR onboarding utilizing electronic and paper processes as applicable
Create a favorable impression for new candidates and assures they feel welcomed to the agency
Process terminated employee files, completes checklist and schedules exit interviews
Stay current on human resources laws and best practices related to role and job functions
Maintain high degree of confidentiality and accurate information
Qualifications
A minimum of two to four years’ experience in human resources or other relevant experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
HR certification preferred
Attention to detail and superior organizational skills
Ability to work independently
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Demonstrates above average initiative to assist in meeting the objectives of the HR Department’s mission
