The Holiday Inn Oceanside is hiring now for a Part Time Host position for Hemingway's Restaurant. We are seeking an awesome associate who want to grow their career in hospitality. What You Will Bring to the Role:
The host has an active role in greeting and escorting guests to their tables and assist in seating, while complying with the hotel and restaurant service standards.

Some of Your Responsibilities Would Be:
- Greet all guests sincerely with a warm smile, and provide superior guest service as they enter the building.
- Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and any time of the day.
- Answers the telephone with a smile, answers questions and directs the call appropriately.
- Makes reservations and “call ahead” requests for guests.
- Assigns parties to tables and rotates seating equally between stations.
- Quotes wait times and monitors the wait list. Keeps guests informed.
- Maintains a clean lobby and work station so there is no visible trash on floor or ledges.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must possess superior guest service and communication skills.
- Must be friendly and passionate about the guest experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Organized and possess a strong work ethic.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule; including evenings weekends and holidays.
- Previous restaurant experience preferred
