Rogers Building Solutions, Coastal Mechanical business unit , one of the largest mechanical contractors in the Southeast, is currently seeking a commercial HVAC/Sheet Metal superintendent to work in the Tampa Florida area on large commercial projects. The right candidate for this position will also be offered a vehicle allowance*, a full suite of benefits that include medical, dental, vision, life, STD, LTD, Pet, 401K with partial match and others! Work is primarily on hospitals, schools, Universities, and Government facilities. This is a Safety Sensitive position.

- Pending MVR, background and drug testing results
- 5-10 years’ commercial experience in HVAC Sheet Metal Duct Installation
- Management experience running construction crews
- Must be able to read blueprints and understand code
- Willingness to mentor and teach other team members
- Must ensure quality control, assist with scheduling, maintain goals
- Must ensure safety rules and meetings are being held weekly and followed.
- Will work with purchasing to procure materials needed
- Must produce project schedules, and coordinate tradesmen for each project
- Work closely with Project Managers and other team members
- Valid driver’s license
- Gas card and Truck Allowance eligible
- Must be fluent in English
- Overtime may be necessary depending on jobs and schedules
- Employer conducts background checks (including JLA if needed for schools), motor vehicle checks, and drug screening.
- Climbing up and down ladders
- Push, pull and frequently carry objects as tools, materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. –
- Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. – Stand and walk for long periods of time. –
- See and hear well with or without correction to avoid safety hazards to themselves and others.
- Overtime and weekend availability, regular attendance
- Work in heat and various other weather conditions
- Travel to current job sites within Florida
