What are the responsibilities and job description for the DME Coordinator position at Coastal Medical Supply?
We are looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented, and organized applicants to join our Coastal Medical Intake team. This will be a full time position located at our League City location.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and meet the highest customer service standards. Must be patient, compassionate and flexible in working with patients and their caregivers during stressful situations and working under time-sensitive deadlines.
Daily duties include, but not limited to:
- Completing new patient authorization process;
- Communicating with parents or guardians of medically fragile children, case managers, important referral sources and physician's offices;
- Completing submission and/or follow up on any required documents/forms;
- Completing submission and/or follow up on pre-authorization and/or pre-certification;
Qualifications:
- Brightree Experience
- DME Experience necessary; Specifically in respiratory, enteral supplies and equipment.
- Knowledge of insurance carriers, particularly Texas Medicaid and Medicaid MCO's
- Competence and knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
- Bilingual skills preferred but not required
- Detailed and capable of multi-tasking
