We are seeking a Medical Billers to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and submitting claims to insurance companies, ensuring accuracy of patient information, and resolving any discrepancies with billing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing processes and procedures, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a fast-paced and dynamic team. We are expanding both our Port Royal and Okatie billing staff, but All interviews will be in person at our Port Royal office. Medical billing and coding certification a plus. Competive salary based on experience and certifications.
Duties include (but not limited to
- Insurance verification and pre-authorizations
- EHR filing (Primary and Secondary Claims)
- Analyze accounts payable and receivable, performing necessary follow-up
- Post payments from EOB’s, and make collection calls
- Filing appeals and working denied claims to obtain payment
- Work the Insurance A/R report and submit additional information and/or corrected claims as requested
- Monitor various payer websites for guideline updates
- Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy; while adhering to all HIPPA guidelines/regulations
- Resolve discrepancies in billing information.
- Communicate with insurance companies and other third-party payers to ensure timely payment of claims
Required Qualifications:
- experience directly related to medical billing in a private practice setting
- knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and insurance policies
- -Strong decision-making and organizational skills; with excellent verbal and written communications
- - Must have proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word).
- Allscripts Medical Software experience is a plus
