What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Coordinator/Receptionist position at Coastal Neurology?
Job duties involve preparing medical records for visit. Verify presence of medical records, & diagnostic testing(labs, images) prior to scheduled appointments. The receptionist must be able to manage patient flow, including pre-visit preparation, assisting with the patient visit and post-visit duties. The receptionist must inform the providers of schedule changes that impact patient flow and reports test results as directed by the providers. They may also provide basic telephone screening per clinic protocols, recognize emergent/urgent problems and direct to the nurse or physician. Patient scheduling and referrals. EMR experience a must, Aprima preferred.
