X-Ray Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and providing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as proficiency in various imaging techniques.

Duties

• Perform X-ray examinations on patients as per physician orders while adhering to safety protocols.
• Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnostic evaluations.
• Maintain and operate imaging equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly and safely.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
• Position patients appropriately to capture the required images while minimizing discomfort.
• Document patient information and imaging results accurately in medical records.
• Stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Certification as an X-ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist from an accredited program.
• Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to radiology and patient care.
• Understanding of anatomy and physiology to accurately interpret imaging results.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments
• Strong communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare staff effectively.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
