Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. - Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare patients for their appointments by ensuring they are comfortable and informed.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including coding for billing purposes.
- Administer medications as directed by physicians and monitor patient responses.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with medical-surgical procedures.
- Educate patients on dermatology care, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and coding practices.
- Experience in outpatient care settings is preferred; familiarity with trauma center operations is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
