Job Summary:

Are you ready to take the reins of our Human Resources functions? As our HR Manager, you'll be at the heart of our company, managing everything from the associate lifecycle to safety and compliance, workforce planning, benefits, and compensation programs. You'll shape HR policies, coordinate wage, salary, and benefit programs, and provide invaluable advice to managers on associate issues. Your role ensures we stay compliant with HR laws and complete all required reporting.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage the associate lifecycle: From hiring and recruiting to onboarding, performance reviews, corrective actions, benefits programs, training, and wage/salary administration.
  • Maintain accurate employee records: Keep track of attendance, benefits eligibility, performance evaluations, initial training, and turnover records.
  • Ensure compliance: Meet regulatory reporting requirements for governmental agencies.
  • Research and recommend best practices: Focus on workforce planning, compensation, benefits, and workers' compensation.
  • Support employee relations: Provide resources and support for complex and specialized issues.
  • Develop training programs: Focus on people management skills, strategies, and ensuring regulatory and legal compliance.
  • Coordinate company functions: Assist with community relations activities.
  • Update policies and procedures: Keep them current and relevant.
  • Review performance evaluations: Approve pay adjustments within the HR department.
  • Oversee disciplinary processes: From counseling to oral and written warnings, and assist other department managers as needed.
  • Supervise safety efforts: Ensure conformity to regulations and internal safety practices with external regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, insurance carriers).
  • Manage HCM system: Oversee our human capital management system.
  • Perform additional duties: As required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Titles of positions supervised:
    • HR Generalist
    • HR Business Partner(s)
Qualifications:

  • A four-year degree with an emphasis on business and human relations, followed by three or more years of related experience in subordinate positions, or ten years of related experience with at least three years as a Human Resources Manager.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Business Insight: Understand the business and industry to make informed HR decisions that align with organizational goals.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with others to achieve common goals, both within the HR team and across the organization.
  • Effective Communication: Clearly convey information and ideas to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.
