What are the responsibilities and job description for the Alarm Technician position at Coastal Protection, Inc.?
-Now Hiring a Security Alarm/Camera Installer & Service Technician. Must have at least 2 years experience with Alarm System Installations, IP Surveillance Camera Installations, and/or Access Control system Installations. Starting pay dependent on previous experience and employee’s own tools.
-Also seeking experience in installing keyless locks, smart thermostats, and other Z-Wave devices.
-Looking for a team player! Also needing a reliable employee! (i.e. show up on time and not call out sick all the time)
-Position would have ability to learn and grow within the company.
-Employee must have clean driving record and valid Driver's license as employee would be provided a company vehicle during working hours after training period. Depending where employee lives, employee should have ability to drive vehicle home each day too.
-Employee will also be on an on call emergency phone rotation and be on call for one entire week every 3-5 weeks.
-Must be able to Pass Background Check which is required for our State License.
-Employee must be able to lift 40 lbs
-Employee must be able to operate on 8’ ladders.

40 hours each years 1-2, 80 hours years 3-5, 100 hours after 5 years
Summary
As an Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various security systems, including fire alarms and CCTV. Reporting to the Service Manager, your core skills in low voltage electrical systems, schematics, and cabling will be essential for effective troubleshooting. Your premium skills in computer networking and mechanical knowledge will enhance system design and functionality. Additionally, your relevant experience in alarm system sales and telecommunication will support our goal of providing top-tier security solutions. A valid driver's license is required for this role.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair alarm systems, including fire alarms and CCTV systems.
- Utilize hand tools and low voltage equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Provide field service support and customer service for security system inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with NEC standards and maintain accurate records of service performed.
- Drive to various job sites as needed, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
