Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of alarm systems, ensuring they operate effectively and meet safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and the ability to read blueprints. The Alarm Technician will work closely with clients to provide exceptional service and support.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure alarm systems according to specifications and safety regulations.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on existing alarm systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning alarm systems using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to facilitate installation processes.
- Collaborate with construction teams during inspections to ensure compliance with NEC standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding alarm system features and functionalities.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls for quality assurance purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Alarm Technician or in a similar role within the electrical or construction industry.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation related to alarm systems.
- Familiarity with fire alarm sales processes is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including NEC codes and regulations.
- Ability to perform construction inspections related to alarm system installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.72 - $30.00 per hour
