We are looking for an experienced full-time experienced Loan Servicing Specialist. This position works Mondays through Fridays in a professional branch setting at our Dawsonville, GA branch. This is not a remote position. Out of town applications will not be considered. Salary is commensurate with experience.
The Loan Servicing Specialist II possesses a strong loan background that allows them to perform a variety of loan servicing functions for commercial, consumer, and residential mortgage loans for Coastal States Bank to ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures and regulations. This position is responsible for customer support for internal audiences.
Essential Functions:
- Serves as internal customer support contact to include monitoring of the Loan Servicing email inbox.
- Performs simple and complex loan transaction processing that may include research and resolution of transaction posting errors and non-posted transactions.
- Performs and/or reviews specialized loan participation transaction processing to include SBA loans.
- Processes and/or verifies rate changes on applicable systems.
- Performs or assists with other servicing functions including, but not limited to, insurance monitoring/reporting, escrow payments, and assisting with credit bureau disputes.
- Performs document custody duties which may include quality assurance reviews of post-closing trailing documents (such as recorded mortgages and final title policies).
- Performs reviews of daily loan reports and reconcilements of general ledger accounts.
- Assists with audit preparation, document exception tracking, and clearing of exceptions as directed.
- Acquires and maintains knowledge of applicable banking regulations.
- Provides back-up and assistance with other loan servicing functions, as required.
- Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with internal and external clients.
- Complete all mandatory training sessions as required by management.
- Comply with bank procedures and follow regulatory, operational and security guidelines.
- Contributes to the bank team effort by working on special projects and reports, performing other bank-related duties, at the discretion of the Loan Servicing Manager.

Qualifications
Preferred Education/Experience/Software:
Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or accounting or equivalent related experience. Three to five years of banking experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable. May act as a resource to other internal staff.
Training:
Responsible for the timely completion of all required compliance training such has BSA, Information Security, and other job specific training as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
The responsibility to acquire and maintain the required knowledge of State and Federal Banking regulations and policies.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
Professional office environment. While performing the duties of this position, the team member is regularly required to operate standard office equipment. The team member is frequently required to communicate and perceive. The position is primarily stationary and not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and requires sedentary work such as exerting up to 10 pounds of force 5% of the time and a negligible amount of force approximately 95% of the time.
