Responsibilities
Your Role:
As a Dispatcher you will be responsible for coordinating the daily operations of our waste collection services, ensuring efficient routing and timely service. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Schedule and dispatch waste collection vehicles and drivers to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs
- Monitor and track the progress of waste collection routes to ensure timely and efficient service
- Communicate with drivers throughout their shifts to provide updates, address issues, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of all dispatch activities, including service calls, route changes, and driver logs
- Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure vehicles are properly maintained and serviced
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize route efficiency and improve overall service delivery
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or transportation management is a plus.
- Proven experience as a dispatcher, preferably in the waste management or transportation industry.
- Strong knowledge of local geography and road networks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using dispatch software and other relevant computer applications.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Tuesday-Friday 8 am to 5 pm, Satudays 6 am to 3 pm.
