Position Overview
Coastline Equipment is hiring a Field Service Technician at our North Las Vegas, NV branch. We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled technician to join our team and provide exceptional service to our customers. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing Wirtgen and John Deere construction equipment on-site, ensuring that equipment remains operational and downtime is minimized. You will also collaborate with the Parts Department, assist customers with service concerns, and promote dealer service programs to drive customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnostics & Repairs: Perform complex on-site diagnostics and repairs on Wirtgen and John Deere construction equipment, adhering to company standards.
- Training & Development: Participate in required Service EDUCATE Training programs to enhance technical skills and stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
- Customer Support: Assist in customer clinics and address maintenance, repair, or service concerns directly with customers to ensure satisfaction and smooth operations.
- Sales & Promotion: Promote and sell dealer service programs to customers, increasing service contract sales and customer engagement.
- Inventory Management: Work with the Parts Department to maintain seasonal parts inventory, ensuring the right parts are available for repairs.
- Knowledge Maintenance: Continuously update knowledge on Wirtgen, John Deere, and competitive products to provide expert service.
- Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance: Maintain the condition of the mobile service vehicle, trailer, tools, and equipment to ensure operational readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in performing service repairs, with a focus on construction equipment.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Service Advisor and basic computer functions for diagnostics and work order management.
- Soft Skills: Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills to effectively communicate and build relationships with customers.
- Industry Knowledge: Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of Wirtgen or construction equipment.
- Mechanical Background: Ability to perform complex repairs and maintenance using special tools and following technical manual procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: Advanced or Master Service Technician certification.
- License: Forklift License.
Physical Requirements
- Driving: Must be able to drive and travel in a vehicle, with the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Physical Conditions: Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with on-site diagnostics and repairs.

- Salary: $30.00 - $46.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
