Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Cherry Picker to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently operating cherry pickers and other heavy equipment to facilitate the order picking process within our distribution center. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Duties
- Operate cherry pickers and clamp trucks to retrieve and transport products within the warehouse.
- Perform order picking tasks accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all items are correctly selected for shipment.
- Build and organize pallets for storage or shipping, maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any mechanical issues.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks as necessary, utilizing pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
Skills
- Experience operating cherry pickers and other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Familiarity with order picking processes in a distribution center environment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) safely and effectively.
- Proficient in using pallet jacks and clamp trucks for material handling.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining safety standards.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.

Job Type: Temp-to-hire
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
