Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to facilitate the movement of materials and products within our distribution center. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Duties
- Operate forklifts to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments efficiently while ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Utilize the warehouse management system to track inventory and manage stock levels.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards at all times.
- Engage in materials handling tasks, including heavy lifting as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically forklifts.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is preferred.
- Previous experience in a distribution center or similar environment is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
