Description
Well-established vertically integrated real estate development and investment firm that is poised for growth wants to add a Senior Property accountant. The Senior Property Accountant will be responsible for creating financial statements, posting journal entries, and financial reporting. Previous experience in Public Accounting, and a CPA license is ideal for this Senior Property Accountant.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the organization
- Ensure with AP that all invoices and receivable transactions are accounted for accurately
- Complete Bank Reconciliations in Yardi
- Prepare all month-end and year-end financial closing processes
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements for investors and lender reporting as well as ensure accurate books and records for external tax accountants
- Conduct general monthly ledger reconciliation
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant financial information
- Accounts receivable management, as necessary
- Perform intercompany billings, as necessary
- General ledger reconciliation
- Ensure annual beneficial ownership informational reporting is completed timely
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Certification such as CPA is preferred
- 5 Years of Property Accounting experience with Multifamily properties.
- 2 years of Public Accounting experience is ideal.
- Previous experience with Yardi is required.
Salary : $100,000 - $135,000
