Cobblestone Farming- Facilities Maintenance Technician

Cobblestone Farming is currently seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician. This employee will report directly to the Facilities Maintenance Manager. This position will be responsible for the daily packing house maintenance. We’re seeking a highly motivated individual to join our growing team.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Coordinates the day-to-day preventative maintenance requirements.
• Assists in troubleshooting as needed on plant equipment.
• Performs needed repairs when required.
• Analyzes malfunctioning machines and systems (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.) and makes necessary repairs, adjustments, modifications.
• Maintains a working understanding of plant production processes, equipment systems and facilities, to perform maintenance.
• Has sufficient knowledge to be able to operate equipment for diagnostic and break relief as required.
• Disassembling broken or defective equipment to facilitate repair and reassembling equipment when repairs are complete.
• Installing or replacing machinery, equipment, and new or replacement parts and instruments, using hand or power tools
• Examining and testing machinery, equipment, components, and parts for defects to ensure proper functioning.
• Know the proper identification and utilization of shop tools.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Spanish Bi-lingual a plus
• Electro-mechanical skills (highly preferred)
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
• Experience and knowledge of light fabricating and welding (preferred)
• Knowledge of and skilled in reading blueprints
• Knowledge of safety principles and best practices in a warehouse/shop environment
• Knowledge of food safety principles and Good Handling Practices
• Possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
• Must have a well-developed attention to detail.
• Effective communication skill

• Ability to work overtime.

Physical Demands & Abilities

• Ability to work in wet and cold environments.
• Regularly required to roll, move, and/or lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, lean, lift and squat.
• Work long hours during peak period.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $21.50 per hour
