The Front Desk Agent is the face of the hotel during their shift. You will be helping people get a place to stay and relax for the night. The primary focus of this job, is to provide outstanding customer service to the guest checking-in along with the other guests of the hotel. All the way to the day they check-out, while supporting the overall operations of the hotel. This is a part time position.
Purpose of Position:
To provide an efficient and friendly atmosphere to service guests. Follow all Company policies and procedures.
Essential Functions (but not limited to):
- 1. Assist in training of new front desk staff.
- 2. Carry out front desk responsibilities including, but not limited to; greeting guests, performing guest transactions, balancing reports, processing reservations and credit cards.
- 3. Cleaning guestrooms and public spaces area as needed.
- 4. Deliver cribs, towels or other items to guestrooms as requested.
- 5. Demonstrate good communication skills.
- 6. Responsible for accurate cash control to include keeping the cash drawer at a minim and ensuring shift deposits balance.
- 7. Handle and resolve guest’s complaints.
- 8. Have legible handwriting.
- 9. Implement all company policies and procedures for safety and security.
- 10. Knowledge of computer equipment.
- 11. Laundry and cleaning
- 12. Maintain a neat and clean appearance behind the front desk and in the lobby area.
- 13. Operate phone switchboard giving courteous, polite service.
- 14. Operate TDD equipment for hearing impaired guests.
- 15. Perform basic math using a calculator.
- 16. Perform light maintenance duties.
- 17. Promote all marketing programs to the guest.
- 18. Provide quality service for guests including pertinent information about the area.
- 19. Record information in the clerk log book and shift reports.
- 20. Responsible for accurate cash control to include keeping the cash drawer at a minimum and ensuring that the shift deposits balance.
- 21. Responsible for key control. Issues and receives both room keys and master keys.
- 22. Restocking front desk supplies
- 23. Send and receive faxes.
- 24. Know and understand brand standards.
- Checking and recording pool and hot tub chemical readings required by local health department.
- 25. Work with other departments to ensure room status is up-to-date and room repairs are done on a timely basis.
Mandatory Job Requirements:
- 1. Read, write and speak English.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
