As the Director of Operations, you'll be at the helm of a fast paced, dynamic environment, overseeing everything from logistics to production, assembly, and inventory management. Essential Functions:

  • Lead with Vision: Work with production leads to establish and review schedules, ensuring smooth operations at every stage of the process.
  • Plan for Success: Develop and fine-tune manufacturing build schedules, ensuring all materials and resources are aligned to meet production deadlines.
  • Inventory Mastery: Keep inventory in check, ensuring customer requirements are met without excess stock. You’ll reduce working capital and keep the operations running lean.
  • Team Development: Build and refine staffing plans with production leads to ensure smooth execution of all manufacturing processes.
  • Quality Standards: Champion quality across the board, from assembly to shipping, and set the bar for excellence.
  • Maintenance & Repair: Create and implement guidelines to maintain and repair equipment, ensuring top-notch functionality across the board.
  • Innovate & Optimize: Drive continuous process improvements and lead capacity design projects to ensure we’re always operating at peak performance.
  • Financial Leadership: Oversee operations budgets and work to drive cost reductions without compromising on quality.
  • Collaborate & Communicate: Be the linchpin that connects sales, service, R&D, and suppliers to drive the success of new product launches.
  • Problem Solver: Take ownership of problem resolution, whether it's material discrepancies, production challenges, or customer-related issues.

Job Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience: You’ve got a proven track record of success in managing operations in a manufacturing environment, with a deep understanding of production, quality control, and supply chain management.
  • Tech-Savvy: You’re a whiz with production management systems and MRP reports.
  • Lean & Mean: You understand lean manufacturing techniques and know how to implement them to optimize productivity.
  • People Skills: You know how to lead, inspire, and develop teams, and you’re skilled in conflict resolution and driving collaboration across departments.
  • Passion & Grit: A “can-do” attitude and a relentless drive to get things done.
  • Business Acumen: You’re well-versed in business finance, profitability, and managing working capital effectively.
  • ERP Experience: Experience with ERP systems like SyteLine is a big plus!

Supervisory Responsibility and Organizational Relationships:

  • Lead a diverse team spanning assembly, production, logistics, quality control, and repair center operations.
  • Report directly to the President and participate actively in senior management meetings.
  • Work closely with all other departments, from sales to engineering, ensuring seamless execution of company goals.

Work Environment:

• This is a hybrid role, with a mix of office and manufacturing floor activities. Expect a mix of office work (computers, phones, meetings) and some time spent on the manufacturing floor.

Physical Demands:

• You may need to lift up to 50 pounds from time to time. Be prepared for some walking, standing, and hands-on tasks in addition to desk work.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

• Full-time, salaried position. Typical hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, though some flexibility may be available. Expect occasional evening and weekend work based on project needs.

• Travel may be required
