Position responsibilities :
- The Transportation Manager leads Supervisors, Drivers, Common Carriers, and overall Transportation Operations ensuring that finished goods are delivered to the company's Distribution Centers
- The Transportation Manager staffs, trains, evaluates, and develops team members by developing and leading improvement activities and engagement as well as monitors employee productivity and timekeeping
- This role will ensures adherence to delivery standards and regulatory requirements while managing drivers' delivery schedules and hours worked
- The Transportation Manager develops and manages the transportation budget by reviewing and approving transportation invoices
- You will also work directly with manufacturing plants and distribution centers to manage carrier relationships and conduct carrier meetings
- Other duties as assigned
