We're looking for an experienced HVAC Sales Manager to join our team, focusing on client retention, growth, and service excellence. Position Overview
As an HVAC Sales Manager, you will be the primary contact for both current and potential clients, ensuring the success and satisfaction of each relationship. Your focus will be maintaining and growing existing accounts, onboarding new clients, and helping clients understand the value of our services. This role is ideal for someone with a background in consultative sales and project management who enjoys both client-facing interactions and fieldwork. You will be responsible for overseeing the following services:
● HVAC system maintenance and cleaning
● Process exhaust cleaning
● Damper testing & inspecting
● Dryer exhaust cleaning
● General HVAC services
Your goal is to build lasting relationships by demonstrating the importance of these services, providing expert guidance, and ensuring client satisfaction across all areas.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Client Relations
● Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients in New England.
● Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, conducting onsite visits, addressing inquiries, accessing needs, and resolving issues promptly.
● Identify opportunities to upsell additional services such as kitchen exhaust cleaning and dryer exhaust cleaning.
● Provide exceptional customer service and act as the intermediary between clients and internal teams.
● On call for up to five weekends a year.
● May occasionally involve work on some nights and weekends based on client’s needs.
Sales & Business Development
● Generate leads and onboard new clients through consultative selling.
● Create and present proposals to new and existing clients.
● Perform cost-benefit analysis and needs assessments to align services with client goals.
● Quote new jobs, set up services, and ensure seamless execution with follow-up.
Project & Operations Management
● Coordinate with internal teams to ensure client needs are met efficiently.
● Escalate and resolve client issues with innovative solutions.
● Oversee job organization, setup, and post-completion follow-up.
● Manage client records in CRM systems (Hubspot, ServiceTrade).
Collaboration & Reporting
● Work closely with other departments (e.g., Sales, Operations) to manage cross-functional client relationships.
● Collaborate with colleagues on shared accounts, especially in specialized sectors like healthcare.
Qualifications
Required
● Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in consultative sales or account management, preferably in HVAC or a related field.
● Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
● Professional demeanor, ability to work independently or as part of a team and to create technically savvy client presentations.
● Ability to read mechanical drawings or a willingness to learn.
● Strong project management skills, with experience handling multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
● Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on problem-solving and negotiation.
● Proficiency with CRM software and project management tools (Hubspot, ServiceTrade).
● Valid driver’s license and willing to travel to client sites.
● Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 and the Flu, or willing to become vaccinated to access client sites.
Physical Demands
● Ability to lift 50 lbs, carry and climb ladders, and inspect HVAC systems in ceilings and air handling units.
● Frequent standing, bending, walking long distances, and handling equipment, during site visits.
● Comfortable working in various weather conditions, corporate environments and across many industries.
Preferred
● Have NADCA ASCS Certification or obtain it within one year of hire date.
● Know NADCA ACR codes or understand them within one year of hire date.
● Familiarity with HVAC and kitchen exhaust systems, as well as local fire safety codes.
● Experience in business development within the New England region.
Compensation
● Competitive salary between $90,000 - $100,000 annually. (No commission year one while training.) Compensation for year two will change to base salary draw plus commission.

This position requires being onsite in our Wilmington, MA office and visiting our clients throughout the New England area. We reimburse mileage and gas for travel to client sites.
